Internet Radio HD – an HP webOS 3 + app

**This app was developed by a Palm Hot Apps Winner developer**
Internet Radio HD Pro is a robust music application used to tap into thousands of online radio stations. Search and listen to thousands of online radio stations easily. Stream internet radio over 2G, 3G, or even Wifi (if your device supports this). Internet Radio HD Pro utilizes both SHOUTcastâ„¢ services. Internet Radio HD Pro is an official partner of SHOUTcastâ„¢. See this app in HP’s product catalog.

Internet Radio HD – an HP webOS 3 + app

Internet Radio HD Pro is the webOS 3.0 version of your favorite app Internet Radio Pro. This version represents the first iteration of the webOS 3.0 version. I plan on adding custom station play ability as well as full Icecast abilities (just like the original Internet Radio Pro). I am also looking to expand this app into other internet radio services so stayed tuned…

This app works great on the new HP TouchPad!

I just downloaded this app to my Touchpad and cannot for the life of me figure out how locate any stations! There’s no help file???

  2. CurtisAF Says:

Tap on the “shoutcast.radio” and it will bring up a station search box.  That is as far as I got.  Ocassionaly I’ll find a station, but don’t know how to do anything with it.

is the dev ever going to fix this crappy app. Nothing works on it. I contacted HP to let them know this dev doesn’t care about his non working app. You would think after all the touchpad that were for 99 and 150, he would fix his crap to make some more money.

  4. James F. Nixon Says:

These Internet Radio apps should be suspended immediately. It doesn’t even work on my Touchpad, and the version for my Pre stopped working too. Search brings back nothing anymore, and more than 75% of the time the stream won’t even play.

  5. Matteebee13 Says:

    not working for me!

  6. Justme Says:

searched for part of the station name and got several responses.

one was what I was looking for.  Clicked it and played right off.  Shows bitrate and number of listeners. Sleep function looks like a timer for playing stream.  Plays in the background while I surf-on.  Very pleased. Tnx.

Are you the Dev. Or did he pay you to lie about his broken shit app. THIS APP DOES NOT WORK LOOK AT THE OTHER REVIEWS. He’s ripping people off and doesn’t care. Notice the lack of any updates to the app since it came out. Good sign this is a get rich quick scam.

i just saw all the comments and feel like I have not provided enough instructions.  First you MUST have a working active internet connection to use internet radio.  So turn on wifi and get hooked up.  Second, to find stations click the shoutcast search button and the middle pane will display a keyword field.  Within this field type an artist, album, station, or genre or any other keyword you think might help you locate a good station.  Once you see a station you like in the middle pane click it and the third pane becomes active and begins to play the station and provide stats about the station.  This pane also provide a field where you can copy the station url and paste it elsewhere for your use.  The different panes become active so that if you use this app on a smaller device like a pre3 it will still work.  I promise this app is not broken and works great.  It represants next iteration of the webos 2.0 app internet radio that is used 5000 times a day everyday (btw, that app is free and works great on the touchpad).  I hope this resolves you problems.

First of all why did you delete all the negative reviews? There were 10 reviews on here yesterday. Seven of them were negative. Can’t stand to read the truth that this shit app doesn’t work. Second, why are you talking down to everyone that has a touchpad, in case you don’t have one let me tell you the touchpad is WI-FI ONLY. It’s always connected to the “internet”, it doesn’t get updates or the app store without it. Are you too stupid to figure that out, and just feel like talking to everyone like their 2 years old. One more thing , since when is this app free for the touchpad, i just checked it says .99 in the app store. That means it’s not free idiot. You’re making money off a non working app, and i’ve written to HP a number of times to tell them to remove all your crap from the store. You’re ripping people off and that’s not right, you’re just cashing in on the touchpad craze right now and that’s sick. Fix your app or get all your crap out of the app store.

I like this app alot. But I cannot get it to play over blue tooth to my HiFi system. Other apps on my touchpad do .
Should it work over blue tooth ?

  11. Jypigeon Says:

great app except cannot get music to play thru Bluetooth?  Everything else work thru Bluetooth except stream thru your app please help

  12. markus Says:

I have the same problem with not streaming audio to blue tooth. The version on my pre works fine with streaming audio bt . Even the old version running on my touchpad in the emulator window streams via bt.

I bought this bt device specifically to use it with this app. Any help?

Any plans to bugfix the Internet Radio Pro app for WebOS 2.2.4?  It seems EVERY media player now has issues with this phone.  Yours is just the least broken, so I use it.  Specifically:

    1) ‘Pause’ and ‘Add To Favs’ buttons are greyed out unless I flick to card view, then select again, and the UI is what it should be.

    2) Same problem as 1 when song title/artist changes in a stream.  I have to flick the card away, and then re-select it to get the current song status.  This includes updating the notification area text.

Seems like a minor thing to fix.  Thankfully, unlike the other streaming apps out there, this one is working with bluetooth a2dp properly, and continues to have a nice use of the notification banners.

  14. KC - L337Tech Says:

Currently I do not have plans to update any of the Internet Radio applications for webOS (webOS died…I moved on to developing for Android).  When enyo 2.0 is out of beta and working like it should I will most definitely build a new version of the app similar to what you see in this article.  Enyo 2.0 will work on your phone so don’t worry (the new release will be free).  I am currently deep in development porting Internet Radio to Android.  Except a release soon for that.
